PAURA explores the repertoire of horror film music from the precious archives of the CAM-Sugar label and takes the listener on a hypnotic journey into the labyrinths of fear, through the different variations of Italian horror cinema, long esoteric and supernatural films from the early 70s to the horror films of the 80s. Here is an eclectic collection of mysterious voices, childish lullabies, gentle melodies, obsessive music boxes, whimsical harpsichords, crazy distortions and of menacing synthesizers, conceived as a succession of sequences. The album brings together some of the most creative film scores ever written, and strives to do justice not only to the genre's best-known composers like Ennio Morricone, Riz Ortolani and Stelvio Cipriani, but also to long-forgotten figures who represent the backbone of Italian cinema, such as Daniele Patucchi, Marcelo Giombini and Berto Pisano. Including many previously unreleased releases, PAURA is presented with a new cover designed by Eric Adrian Lee, and available on CD, standard double vinyl, color double vinyl and in a limited edition deluxe collector's box.
