Description

This is part of a big auction full of gospel record from Peacock, Gospel, Savoy & Nashboro.  Great stuff that is often overlooked.  Many of these are promos and all are in great shape.

Release: Sensational Nightingales - See How They Done My Lord / Lord Have Mercy


Format: 45 rpm 7" single


Year: 1956


Notes: Original release with the black labels. Early single by this long-running group. Old-school gospel sound with more of a doo-wop feel. Like a lot of these old gospel records, some fantastic vocals. 


Vinyl Condition: VG+, vinyl is in great shape, very clean with almost no wear at all. Both sides play very well with no noticeable background noise.  No pops/ticks/skips, etc. Labels are really clean as well, just a bit of light scuffing.  This is a very nice copy overall.


Due to travel and the holidays, this will be my last auction of the year.  Mark me as a favorite though because I have some killer rockabilly and small label blues/R&B auctions coming in January.
