Peggy Lee George Shearing DJ Souvenir 1959 MINT rare

$

150

This is a rare promo custom box set of the Beauty and the Beat album recorded live at the '59 Miami DJ convention at the Americana Hotel.  The inside of the box cover has the slick from the subsequently released album pasted inside.  It comes with two large glossy photos autographed by the two artists, as well as a thank you letter signed by both to each DJ, there is also a two page letter from Capitol explaining the gift and the difficulties in recording the record.  The record is for the personal use of the DJs.  The record is mint minus, the photos and inserts are mint, the box is excellent with no splits to the corners (very rare) and light bowing to the front cover.  The hinge is fully intact (also very rare).  I have seen a few of these but never in this condition.  I am not sure what process the autographs went through...but all the boxes are signed to different names (this box went to "Sid")...they are not printed signatures,  looks pretty authentic sigs...peggy's actually has some ink rub.  At any rate, the photos are top-notch, and you will not find a better copy.

All shipping costs worldwide are at the bottom of the listing!!

Let me say something about shipping:  I am not Amazon.com.  I go to the post office once or twice a week. "Priority mail" means it goes by air...it does not mean it goes out in the next hour.  I have never had a package lost and do not get complaints about packing.  If you cannot be patient with shipping time, do not bid.  Of course all your purchases are guaranteed for satisfaction.

All records are guaranteed if returned in same condition.

Records are visually graded unless stated...have been doing this for a long time.

All grades are cover first then record.

MINT is unplayed, sealed, or play-graded mint.

MINT MINUS is like new but probably played once or twice...most would grade this mint

NEAR MINT is near new with some slight signs of play...an extremely clean record

VERY GOOD PLUS is collectible but might have some light sleeve marks and some light noise...still plays very well with no major issues.

I WILL USE  (+) AND (-) FOR EMPHASIS ON THE BASIC GRADES...I DO NOT LIST ITEMS LESS THAN VERY GOOD PLUS UNLESS THEY ARE EXTREMELY RARE AND THEN A FULL DISCLOSURE WILL BE PROVIDED.   BID WITH CONFIDENCE.

Flaws in covers will be noted.
