Peggy Lipton ORIG US ST LP VG+ '68 Mod Squad Psyche Lounge Baroque Pop
Original US LP released in 1968 on Ode Records. Cat: Z12 44006. Comes in a gatefold sleeve.
Record companies are always looking for an edge. In the '60s it was television stars. The theory was that since they were already household names, a recording by them would be less of a risk. This was the first of two Ode albums by Peggy Lipton, who played cool Julie Barnes on Mod Squad. The LP picked up some plays, and isn't bad, mainly because of the quality material. Lipton wrote four of the 11 songs: "Let Me Pass," "Memories of a Golden Weekend," "San Francisco Glide," and "Honey Won't Let Me." She has a flower child persona that occasionally branches. Interesting cuts include Laura Nyro's "Stoney End" and Carole King and Gerry Goffin's "Natural Woman" and "It Might as Well Rain."

There are some light spindle marks on labels. Record has some light scuff marks and a few very light scratches that cause some light crackles in parts and is in VG+ condition. Gatefold cover has some ring wear, small surface tears around edges and a 5cm seam split on top right corner and is in VG condition.
Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
