Description

Impossible-to-find lost folk masterpiece. Folk Heritage FHR025S 1972.

Unlike many mega-rarities, the music on this LP really comes together beautifully - the singing and the very subdued playing have a quiet intensity and the sound is almost hypnotic in places. The choice of material is superb with interesting covers of Fairport Convention, Incredible String Band, Jesse Winchester and others.  Pride of place however, must go to an absolutely sublime version of Dylan’s ‘I’ll Keep it with Mine.’

Original laminated cover is in VG condition with slight creasing and ring-wear.

Vinyl has some quite serious looking marks but I’ve listened to the whole album and found the hypnotic quality still shines through. Side One has a fairly clean sound. Side Two does suffer from more ‘clicks’, ‘crackles’ and  ‘pops’ but not in a way that overpowers the beauty of the music within. Graded VG(-).
