Description
This 1968 debut studio album showcases the San Jose California band at the height of the late sixties psychedelic rock movement. Driven by powerful keyboards and melodic vocal hooks the group crafts a distinctive sonic blend that bridges garage rock energy with sophisticated pop arrangements. The album is anchored by their massive hit cover version of The Zombies classic title track which climbed high on the international charts and established their place in the era counterculture scene. Other standout tracks like Apple Cider and Somebody Tell Me My Name highlight their adventurous multi-part harmonies and lysergic instrumentation. Highly collectible as an original Capitol Records pressing this vintage artifact captures the evolving musical landscape of the West Coast psych explosion.
