This is what you collectors have been searching for, THE HOLY GRAIL OF ACID FOLK-PSYCHEDELIC records from one of the originators of the genre.
One of only 300 original lps' privately pressed by Perry Leopold,"Experiment In Metaphysics" defines the genre. Recorded and mastered in the basement recording studio of a shoe repair shop in Phila. in 1970, during one incredible evening of altered and accentuated creativity, then pressed at Disc Makers, Phila. in a very limited quantity, this is an incredible recording by the master of the genre. With its haunting melodies, dark, brooding, moody lyrics, and accompanied by the inspired finger picking styles of Perry Leopold on his two, even then, vintage Martin guitars. This album is enduring and is the benchmark for independent artists and musicians that produce their own projects.
I have owned this album since 1970. I am a very old friend of Perry's and was the only other person at the recording session besides the owner/engineer on that memorable evening. I was also at Disk Makers when the initial pressing order was made and distributed a very few copies to local radio and retail record stores on consignment. This is the only original copy I have in my posession or that I know of that exists today.

It has been played ONE TIME ONLY on the highest studio quality manual turntable to record it on my hard drive. There is not one blemish or finger print on the playing surface of the vinyl. The cover was and is original, a generic, standard issue, gold metallic finished "wrapping paper" cardboard cover that shows its age but is essentially a 9++ out of 10. To the best of my recollection, there was no label affixed to the cover at any time on the original version. The paper sleeve is showing its age and is yellowing , the glue on one seam has separated and has a tear. The sleeve is completely original and is completely inconsequential and should be replaced. I will transfer the vinyl into a newer lined sleeve for shipping and include the original. A photo collage accompanies this listing, individual photos are available by email request and I will take new ones of different views to comply with those requests if necessary for serious bidders only.
The labels on side one and two are in absolutely mint condition as are the hand etchings on the non playing surface. Side one is titled Kommercial, sub titled "SMOKE" the song titles and WS1A c1999,1970. The etchings on this side are WS1A , F/W, & an smaller N. Side two is titled Acid-Folk, sub titled "DROP" , WS1B. The etching is WS1B, F/W and a smaller N. There is a very small 1/4" scrape at the 4o'clock spot on the non playing surface that was made at the pressing plant. This is the only blemish or mark anywhere on the vinyl. There is an extra side two label that was inside the cover that was never attached or hole punched that is included with this album.
