For sale is Peter Gabriel's Passion: Music for The Last Temptation of Christ, released in 1989 by Geffen Records in a double album set. I bought this used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 record cleaning machine and immediately put the records into MFSL archival inner sleeves. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. The inner sleeves are Excellent with just a few wrinkles. The cover is graded VG+ because of a round white slicker on the front, a creased back corner that has produced a small tear, stress cracks along the spine and some corner rubs. The spine has color loss from these stress cracks and rubs. The vinyl is visually graded as Excellent with slight surface scratches, but play graded as VG because of surface noise most noticeable during the quietest passages, a tick or a pop occasionally but no skipping. This is still a very listenable record and has become very hard to find in any condition. This would be a welcome adition to anyone's collection. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative.
