Description
On offer is my original first pressing of Peter Gabriel’s “SO” album from 1986. The Direct Metal Mastering is denoted by ‘D’ in the runouts. All tracks recorded at Real World Studios in England except for “Mercy Street” which i# the only track, when play graded, that has a few minor clicks that does not interrupt the flow of the music. This track was recorded in Polygram Studios, Rio de Janeiro. The included inner lyric sleeve was made of card on early pressings.
Overall, the album plays superbly with no other pops, clicks or scratches. Due to the quality of this recording I am classifying the vinyl as EX. There is very little spindle wear and the labels are still pristine. The outer cover and inner sleeve are unmarked and the spine is fully legible. At the very least this makes them at least EX to NM. The inner sleeve has been replaced by a modern, protective sleeve to look after the vinyl.
