Description
Peter Hammill ~ Fool’s Mate UK 1971 Scroll Charisma Psych Rare Original, Lovely!
Peter Hammill’s 1st Solo, recorded between “H to He” and “Pawn Hearts” is still a perfect gem, after all of these years. He’s helped out here by members of VDGG, but also Lindisfarne (another fine Charisma band) as well as Robert Fripp. Oh, and the fantastic jacket art is by Paul Whitehead, the fellow behind those other great VDGG and Genesis jackets. This is the original “Pink Scroll” pressing from 1971, with the Matrix Numbers “A2-U/B1-U”, and it’s in lovely condition!!!
Owned by a fussy Audiophile who took care of his stuff!
GENRE: ROCK / BRITISH PROGRESSIVE PSYCH POP ROCK
ARTIST: PETER HAMMILL
LABEL: CHARISMA
NUMBER: CAS 1037 (Original UK “Pink Scroll" Press)
CONDITION VINYL: NM/EX+++ (Both sides are super clean and in fine shape and plays beautifully; there is tiny mark on Side 1 that is superficial only, and several very tiny and fine marks at the beginning of Side 2. Again, this copy plays beautifully.)
CONDITION COVER: NM/EX+++ (Lovely Textured jacket is in Amazing condition considering its age, with no seam splits and a straight spine, there is some mild scuffing along all 4 corners, and a very tiny tear on the back bottom left corner; Gatefold inner has just the faintest hint of some ring wear, but otherwise is really clean and solid. This is a Really Solid Copy of a great title!)
