Description
Outstanding UK LP from Peter Hammill, this is his first album entitled 'Fools Mate' on the pink Charisma label, first pressing. This is not a reissue, not 180 grams, this is the real deal. Everything is in exceptionally beautiful shape. Robert Fripp of King Crimson fame contributes to this wonderful LP.
Specifics: Charisma CAS 1037 Matrix # side 1 CAS 1037 A-2U side 2 CAS 1037 B-2U
Visual: Near mint. Beautiful full glossy disc that has only a couple of almost invisible scuffs. Very clean!
Play: Recent playback on Thorens TD 165 turntable yielded nice results. It plays like new with almost no surface noise. The Charisma pink label was generally a slightly noisy one. The LP has some minimal noise heard during the quieter moments or between tracks as one might hear on even a newly purchased LP. Not due to wear or abuse, again it is a Charisma pink pressing. All in all a very nice sounding first press copy that you will be happy with!
Outer sleeve: Beautiful textured gatefold jacket is like new, with only minor corner and edge wear. No splits. The graphics are stunning on this jacket.. LP housed is plastic resealable outer sleeve to avoid wear.
Inserts: None.
Inner sleeve: Excellent condition. LP housed in anti-static inner sleeve for better protection.
Finally: As an audiophile I have attempted to disclose everything of significance for this great LP which comes from my personal collection.
