Description
Phil Woods Pot Pie mono New Jazz 8291 Purple & Silver Van Gelder
Phil Woods (as), Jon Eardley (t), George Syran (p), Teddy Kotick (b), Nick Stabulas (d) Recorded 1954, 1955
The record looks and plays VG++. No heavy scuffs or scratches. Some pressings dimples on Side 1 that cause a tick occasionally. Otherwise record plays clean and quiet. This is not one of those noisy New Jazz pressings. Grooves are bright, glossy and do not show wear or damage.
The cover is VG.
The front has moderate wear and ring wear. Strip app 1 inch wide along the pocket is heavily faded or it might be a printing defect. The corners are dented and heavily worn. The top seam is split and not taped all the way across. Bottom seam is not split but has some wear. The back cover has fading and moderate wear with a small piece of slick missing at the bottom Spine has wear and is split app 2 inches and not taped at the top.
Black lines that might be visible at bottom left and top right in pictures are due to photo cropping and not on record.
I WILL NOT END AUCTIONS EARLY. PLEASE DO NOT ASK.
My highest grade is M- and I rarely grade 50s or 60s records M-. Records are graded visually using the Goldmine system. M-, VG++, VG+, VG, VG- etc. I play grade any potential problem areas. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. You will be satisfied. No hassles.
