PHILIPS 6308041: ALAN SKIDMORE QUINTET 'TCB'
UK jazz rarity from 1970, this was the second album by UK tenor sax player, Skidmore. On side 1, Skidmore leads his quintet of the time, completed by malcolm griffiths (tb), John Taylor (p/el-p), Chris Lawrence (b) and Tony Levin (d). On side 2, Mike Osborne and John Surman make guest appearances. This is a 1st UK stereo pressing with black/silver printing label. There was, as far as I know, no separate mono pressing of this issue.
Side 1 'Jack Knife'/'Lantern Wood'/'One On One Off'/'T.C.B.'
Side 2 'Walk In And Dance Out'/'A.J.'/'And Think Again'
CONDITION/DESCRIPTION: The disc is E+toN- (VG++toM-) with a very few, very light scratches only, visible under a bright 'grading' light. The cover is EtoE+ (VG+toVG++), with minor edge creasing and surface scratching. There is some heavier creasing around the bottom right hand corner. In the top right hand corner of the front, there is a small patch of residue from the removal of a sticky label.
