Description
This is Atlantic Records 1340, Philly Joe Jones, Philly Joe's Beat, an orange and red, deep groove, original mono issue, of this classic hard bop session featuring Bill Barron, Walter Davis Jr. and Paul Chambers The record is in VG++ condition, showing some light marks but playing quietly throughout. The laminated cover shows light shelf wear and a name in pen on the back, but is otherwise excellent and intact. The labels are excellent as well with only light spindle marks. The original thumbnail/discographical inner sleeve is included. The record has been cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. An excellent, collectors grade copy of this original Atlantic issue with all the proper markings. This is part of a large jazz collection I will be posting over the next few months.
