Comments: The Shout label, normally the home of the grittier side of R&B, came up with a smooth mid-tempo outing from Philadelphia. Freddie Scott, best known for his big hit “Hey Girl” comes across very well on this Northern Soul track, made famous over the last years by Biz Markie. The self-penned flip-side is also well worth a spin. Less familiar, this is again mid-tempo Northern Philly soul.
?You can find several clips of the A-side on YOU TUBE.?
Please also check my many other Soul 45’s listed this week! Northern, Southern, New York, Memphis....
