PIECE KOR All I Want Is My Baby Back / Words Of The "Raven" LARAY RI2556 This garage legend from out of Bel Aire MD is so rare there are only 3 known copies worldwide. One of those is very badly scratched! This could easily be one of the finest known! And ... including this one ... there are STILL only 4 known copies in existance! As far as music quality, originality and overall appeal, this is one of the top rated garage rarities. (5 stars on a 1 to 5 star rating) Ranks in the top 4% of the rarest of garage recordings. (#43 of the 1000 rarest) I'm not sure if this one is on any compilation (it's Hella-rare) so if you need to hear it spin, give me a call and I'll play it for you. (804) 536-3853. This will probably be the only copy offered during this (or the next) decade, so don't miss this chance. All I Want Is My Baby Back (the listed B side) plays with incredible fidelity, with very minimal surface sound at the beginning. When the fuzztone kicks in on this Bo Diddley beat monster, you suddenly know you're in the presence of greatness. Scorching fuzz powered guitar in the break carries this side into another stratosphere. Words Of The Raven (the listed A side) is a tight R&B mover with a slight touch of early Jefferson Airplane, and features a killer psych guitar break. Again, the tonal quality of this one is awesome, with just a little bit of surface sound AFTER the fade. Absolutely a wonderful copy! This is an essential key piece that could easily be the cornerstone to any garage / 60's collection. Visually this record is VG to VG+, a very nice copy. It plays easily nicer than the grade I've given it. The labels are in the VG range, and I'm sure you'll be very pleased. Both labels have some minor storage rubbing (see the scan) that could possibly be cleaned, and a small "aw" initialed on the "Baby Back" side. Otherwise, these labels would have graded closer to M- .
