Here’s an incredibly rare opportunity to own this library original that rarely surfaces.

1968’s Preistoria by Piero Umiliani is everything you’ve come to love about this unique composer but with the distinctive theme of Pre-historic templates for the compositions. Umiliani gives a wide range here that covers the jazz vibes you’ve come to know as well as deep experimental moody landscapes that continue to inspire countless listeners and artists alike.

This was self released on Umiliani’s own Omicron in 1968.


This copy is VG+/ VG+ all around. The jacket itself shows an impression mark on the front of the sleeve. This was taken out of an archive in Italy exactly like this. These jackets were never glued so it opens. Back of jacket in the white has the rubbing marks that are found on all copies. Remember, these were never commercially released so they didn’t go to great lengths to make commercially produced jackets. This is incredible shape for its age and rarity. The vinyl shows surface marks from paper jacket removal. Nothing feel-able on the surface at all. This copy sounds amazing. Again, this wasn’t commercially available so it’s an incredibly beautiful and difficult piece to find anywhere at all. Don’t miss out.
