Pink Floyd 10" Acetate EP See Emily Play RARE PSYCH !!!

***PLEASE NOTE I ACCEPT PAYPAL ONLY FROM OVERSEAS CUSTOMERS FOR THIS ITEM, THANKS***

From the archive of a South African radio DJ, there is every possibilty that this amazing artefact is a unique one off pressing.

I have no idea whiy it was presented this way - maybe there was a planned EP for export?

Not 100% sure if these are different takes or mixes than the commercially available versions of the songs.

I've played it once and recorded a couple of snippets for anyone who is interested in listening. These snippets are direct from the disc itself and have not been treated in any way. They are low qulity MP3's recorded very carefully on nice equipment and don't compare to actually hearing it directly through your sytem at home.

There are splash marks on both sides of the disc, which are hopefully visible enough in the close-up photo's I have taken. I'm not sure whether these stains are from water or cleaning fluid, however, I realise how fragile the playing surfaces of acetates are, so I haven't attempted to clean them myself. I will leave that to the winning bidder to try, if they so desire. As you will tell from the recordings though, they have little or no impact on the audio itself.

There is some occasional surface noise which isn't too intrusive, as the cut is very loud and dynamic - sounds amazing, cut straight from the tapes I would have thought. There are some tick sounds (no loud clicks or skips) on rotation towards the end of See Emily Play and the start of Apples and Oranges, which you can hear in the sound file but overall the audio is great!

Please have a listen.

Pink Floyd original record company 4-track 10" acetate EP 1967 45rpm

 Side 1

See Emily Play (2.52)

Apples and Oranges (3.07)

Side 2

Paintbox (3.33)

Bike (1.50) not sure why it says 3.20 on the label.

Hard one to grade, as I'm not sure if the splash mark can be removed. There are several light hairlines but no deep scratches or anything feelable. With all this in mind, I guess I would grade the disc VG+ visually but closer to EX for Audio. Comes in its original fragile plain brown archive sleeve, which has the letter P stamped in the top left. Still in one piece with a few paper cracks/splits here and there, VG. This is not Mint but still a very nice, seriously collectable item.

Please bid only of you intend to pay, thanks.

Please note, I always remove records from main sleeve when packing to avoid seam splits during trasportation, unless the record is still sealed. I will happilly open the seal carefully at sellers request to remove from sleeve if desired.  I use cruciform LP mailers (NOT envelopes) with multiple stiffeners for added safety. I have also started using corner protectors too :-)

Please also note that I will now only send records by Recorded, Airsure and International Signed for. I will no longer send records without a tracking number, so please do not bid if you object to the shipping costs, thanks.

Just realised, due to a listing error it's actually an 8"(inch) disc not 10. Apologies for any confusion this may have caused.
