THIS IS A REALLY NICE COMPLETE COPY OF THE FIRST PRESSING WITH 2 STICKERS and 2 POSTERS!The cover, gatefold, LP, Stickers & Posters are in Very Good shape! The whole package is in great shape!
I RECENTLY PLAYED THIS LP AND IT SOUNDS AWESOME! But you will hear surface noise typical with a Very Good grading (and typical with a Pink Floyd LP).
Up for sale is one (1) Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon, THIS IS A TRUE FIRST PRESSING WITH INTERPAK PATS. PENDING in the lower right corner of the gatefold. First pressing from 1973 on Harvet Records (#SMAS-11163). NO BARCODE.
Has WLY etched in the deadwax signaling a high quality mastering by Wally Traugott.
Only REAL first pressings have INTERPAK Pats. PENDING inside the gatefold. This text was removed in later pressings.
MUST ALSO HAVE: Text around bottom edge of label starts at 8 o'clock and says: Mfd. by Capitol Records, Inc., a subsidiary of Capitol Industries, Inc., U.S.A. - ® Capitol Marca Reg - U.S. Pat. No. 2,631,859
You must have both of these attributes to have a true first pressing.
The Vinyl is in Very Good condition with some light visual surface marks that may cause surface noise typical with a Very Good grading. Even with a Very Good grading there is going to be a certain amount of surface noise. More noticible during the quiet parts.Nice clean labels with minor spindle marks.
The gatefold cover is in Very Good condition with typical wear from age, including, but not limited to corner dings, minor scrapes, ring wear and fading. NO SPLIT SEAMS. The interior of the gatefold is also in Very Good condition.
This cover typically does not age well, but this one is in Very Good shape.

Matrix / Runout Side A Etched: SMAS 1 11163 F1 #5 Wly
Matrix / Runout Side B Etched: SMAS 2 11163 F2 #1 Wly
The posters are in Very Good condition with typical handling wear with age. Both posters have never been displayed.(actually the posters are in fantastic shape)
Pyramid Poster(with SMAS-11163-1 written in the lower right corner): Minor dings and fraying along the edges and corners. There is wear at the spots where it is folded over where the panels meet (typical for a poster that has been fold for 45+ years). There are no pin holes or tape marks. NEVER HUNG OR DISPLAYED.
Band Poster(with SMAS-11163-2 written in the lower right corner): Minor dings and fraying along the edges and corners. There is wear at the spots where it is folded over where the panels meet (typical for a poster that has been fold for 45+ years). There is a very small tear at the foldover crease at the very top. (see pics) There are no pin holes or tape marks. NEVER HUNG OR DISPLAYED.
The stickers are in Very Good condition with typical wear from age and have the following issues:
Yellow & Blue Sticker(with SMAS-11163-1 written in the lower right corner): Minor dings and creases. NEVER USED OR DISPLAYED. HAS ORIGINAL BACKING INTACT.
Blue & Brown Sticker(with SMAS-11163-2 written in the lower right corner): Minor dings and creases. There are 2 smudges in the upper left corner. The tab at the right side has naturally bent upward at the crease(typical for the stickers with a tab). NEVER USED OR DISPLAYED. HAS ORIGINAL BACKING INTACT.
I obtained this LP in the 1970's. It was gently played back in the day. I haven't played this LP in many, many years. It has been in storage ever since.
