A genuine and very 1st press of NICE PAIR...I think this was the last title that EMI used the 'Gramophone' text on - so quite easy to spot the chart period 1st issues. BUT - some folk insist on the very earliest iteration possible - and rightly so! Absolute 1st pressing of this title is with Matrix 1/1/1/2 - nothing exists earlier. And the very 1st copies were placed inside the original designed cover - which included a "Phang" panel top right. They were forced to change this almost immediately at 1st release. And later copies come with a sticker covering the top right panel - which usually tears when removed, or the re-design which contained a Monk. But this is genuine 1st issue design with the Dentist window showing nice and clear. The vinyl is reasonably heavy stock [super important on PF- as any collector will know]. 'Gramophone' showing in perimeter text. The vinyl comes housed in two original inners. So,, 100% genuine and 100% complete. 
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In excellent order and has only seen lightest use. Super lustre. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of slightest marks per side....and one superficial trail. FULY TESTED - nothing remotely troublesome...nothing gets into the audio stream at all. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Please note a lot of the audio from this period of FLOYD is extremely fussy. Few copies are likely to have survived playing WELL. But occasionally you happen on a copy which has used sparingly and carefully. What this copy will offer is the uber fussy listener who wants Floyd to play near perfect. There's vey little sign of use in the audio at all. I doubt very much that you could actually improve on this. A lot of these tracks are incredibly fussy. Take the ultra-fussy intro to Saucerful...I mean this is 10 out of 10 fussy...literally no copy will play it perfect ater this passage...And I haven't heard near perfect before...until...THIS COPY. This one can do it - and I'd argue that's the sign of a very sparingly played copy.  It is a highly unusual player that could manage this. An amazing insight into Floyds early work. If you are looking for this title you should be looking for a particularly well looked after 1st press, And that's exactly what we have here. I certainly have not experienced a better copy of this original 1st press. SUPERB!
Cover (Ex/Ex-) I imagine a lot of these covers are going to be looking a bit rubbish by this point in time. This example is a total time traveller and has predominantly avoided the ageing process. Surfaces are close to perfect -- highly unusual. Slight ageing noticeable on the spine - but minimal wear. Excellent interior - near faultless. The text on the spine is fully legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inners (Ex) No splits. Excellent ..
