Welcome to my auctions....check out the other vinyl listed, more added each week and follow me so you don't miss out.
My dad was a private collector, he collected thousands and thousands of records from 1950's to early 2000's, many are rarities, obscurities and some are unique, I am not a dealer, just selling the collection now he is unable to do so himself.
ALL RECORDS ARE VISUALLY DESCRIBED AND GRADED unless it says otherwise. IF YOU DECIDE TO BID YOU ARE BIDDING ON THE VISUAL DESCRIPTION NOT ON HOW IT MAY PLAY, Even the most visually stunning record can have background noise, if you want perfect audio then please find another copy with audio gradings.
You can expect great service/fast dispatch/super strong packaging/combined shipping and honest, no nonsense gradings BUT Please read descriptions.
Pink Floyd – A Saucerful Of Secrets - 1st UK Blue Columbia Labels - Very Rare 1st Stereo Press - 1968 – Earliest Flipback Sleeve
SCX 6258
1968
YAX 3633 - 1 1G
YAX 3634 - 1 1R
Both sides have lots of light whispy marks. There are also some scuffs and scratches/needle marks non that appear feeling. It is sold as a used record and would be a perfect collection filler although I have played it all the way through and there are no skips, jumps or sticks and because of the deep grooves the audio is still really nice (with obvious background crackle) Sold as described, No returns.
Labels have signs of being played under strong light(spiders legs), one label is very slightly faded near top and has three letters written in pen and spindles have been slightly touched up with black pen (visable in the light)...see photos
Earliest Stereo Flipback Garrod & Lofthouse Patents Pending Sleeve has some wear, Front is super glossy with no rubbing, it is slightly wavy and does have 2 tiny patches of damage near opening (surface has come off) and a very tidy selotape repare from opening edge which can only really be seen in the light, a crease from bottom edge. Back Back again has no rubbing or fading, the very edges of the flipbacks have been coloured in black but not really obvious, back again is a bit wavy, Edges have No wear, Corners have No Wear, Spine is solid with No wear but has the start of a split in the center where 'Pink Floyd' is, Opening edge is pretty crisp....A Really Nice example of this rare sleeve that is very flimsy. See Photos
Plain white inner (mid 70s type) has no splits but light discolouration
