Description
I am selling part of my vinyl collection which has been accumulated over the years. I am not a dealer but have realised that if I pass these records on they will not be appreciated for what they are.
So on offer here is a lovely Factory Sample promo copy of A Saucerful Of Secrets by Pink Floyd, released on the Black and Silver One Box Columbia label in 1969, catalogue number SCX 6258
The front laminated sleeve printed and made by Garrod and Lofthouse is in Excellent condition with no laminate damage, ringwear splits tears or writing. The spine is square with no damage and all text clear.
There is a tiny amount of rubbing on the bottom edge but hardly anything and mentioned for completeness
The sleeve has a “ FACTORY SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE” sticker on the back, and the incorrect spelling of “ GILMORE” songwriting credit
I cleaned the vinyl on my Okki Nokki Record Cleaning Machine before playing it at high volume on my system ( Michell Gyrodec, SME arm, Naim pre and power amps and Bowers and Wilkins 802D Nautilus speakers)
There is a tiny amount of surface noise before the music starts on Side One but this is hardly noticeable and I did have it turned up high!
There was one pop on each side, otherwise Excellent to Excellent Plus sound with no jumps skips or other defects. Under ver strong sunlight there are a few tiny wispy lines caused by the record being removed from the original paper inner
The labels are clean with no discernible marks.
The matrix numbers are :
Side One XAX 3633 - 3
Side Two XAX 3634 - 3
The album has a small amount of up and down movement but this is slight and mentioned for completeness and plays with no issues whatsoever
The original inner is included which is in Excellent condition and unsplit
Pink Floyd Factory Samples are rare and together with the album in this Excellent condition makes this very collectible
It will be sent in a professional record mailer with two stiffeners used by mail order record shops
