GLC RECORDS

OLYMPIC STADIUM July 6, 1977

The FINAL Animal Performance!!

Oh, this is a real special LP.

Not because of the super limited production of ONLY 150 WORLDWIDE

Or the Fact that it is MUTLI- COLORED VINYL

But because of the importance of this TOUR and in particular, THIS CONCERT.

The "In The Flesh" tour to promote their latest album "ANIMALS" was a long and grueling experience for The Floyd.

Outrageously large venues and unruly crowds were the norm. It seemed to the band, Roger Waters in particular, the intimacy between the band and the fans was lost. Things were out of control!!

This concert has been referred to as the "firecracker concert" or something along those lines. While Roger was starting to play Pigs on the Wing (part 2), a fan was setting off firecrackers and prompted Mr. Waters to stop playing his guitar and start ranting at the crowd. I can't write what he says but it is good. He eventually plays the song through along with Snowy White playing the solo which is a strange place for it being that it was originally after part 1 bridging part 2. (for those of you who are familliar with the US 8-track version of Pigs On The Wing).

But Roger wasn't done yet.

Unless you've been living under a rock for past thirty years, I'm sure you've heard of the famous "Spitting Incident".

That happened at this concert during Pigs (Three Different Ones)!!!

Though you can't actually hear Roger spit in the guy's face, you can hear Roger calling the fan up to the stage like a DOG while the roadies lifted him up over the barriers so Roger could take aim and unload a huge wad of spit in the fan's face.

Before the concert was over, David Gilmour walked off stage to the soundboard and left the guitar duty to Snowy. It was nuts. The roadies even started taking the set down while the band was still playing. Nick Mason only had his snare drum left at the end. Though the events in this paragraph are not on this vinyl, I feel it worthy to note to fully explain what happened in Quebec. After all, Abattoir Quebec is roughly translated as "Slaughterhouse in Quebec".

This Tour and This Concert is what eventually led Roger Waters to write "THE WALL".

So there you have it. This Vinyl is the link between Animals and The Wall !!

I cannot begin to say how important this Tour was as far as the direction it took Pink Floyd. The rest needs no explaination.

Now as far as how rare this vinyl is, some bootleg sites aren't even aware of it's existance. Even a well known site just this year updated it's site to show this one.

I just watched a Floyd record sell last week being touted as the "Holy Grail" and just laughed knowing that that was a reissue of another title. But this one Truly is "THE HOLY GRAIL" for what it stands for and what it eventually led to.

The cover is plain white with paper insert and both are in MINT condition.

The vinyl is in MINT condition. I only played it once to verify the authenticity of the recording. I was blown away by the excellent quality of the recording as far as boots go.

No spindle marks, scratches or skips.

See pics for track listing.

Special note regarding the concert and this recording:

The "In The Flesh" Tour generally consisted of "Animals" and "Wish You Were Here" played live with different encores. This LP only captures "Animals".

I would like to mention that the photo of the vinyl itself did not capture the true color(s) of this LP. It is more like a two-tone green, black, and white marbelized color. As soon as I can get a better photo, I will provide it in the listing.
