I am going to list this lp by a numbering system. I think that the goldmine system gets abused many times. I bought this as a vg+ when I feel that it truly lies somewhere in between vg+ and vg+. I will give it a 7/10 for the vinyl and jacket. I have 4 copies of this album and 2 are UK copies. I have been trying to get a true vg+ US pressing but have been failing miserably. I am somewhat of a collector so my standards are more profound than the average vinyl enthusiast. I feel that a vg+ lp will possibly have some crackle throughout the album with no "clicks, pops, or tics". This lp has one 10 second passage where there is a slight tic for maybe 5 evolutions of the album. It is in no way a "feeleable" mark causing this. There is also the sporadic crackle here and there. I feel that to truly list a record as vg+ there cannot be any noise higher than a "crackle". Most Pink Floyd lp's have quiet passages and this makes it very difficult trying to find a quiet copy. I am almost at the point of just throwing in the chips and buying a remastered digital copy of Animals and being done with it. So in a nutshell, "This is a decent copy but not collector grade in my opinion. It is as good as any of my other copies, but I am trying to find the "holy grail" copy.
