Pink Floyd Animals 1977 first pressing vinyl VG/VG+ Cat No SHVL 815
Roger Water's lyrics were inspired by the animal kingom's pecking order from George Orwell's Animal Farm. This album was released against a backdrop of punk rock which swept across Britain in the Queen's Silver Jubilee year. The Prog Rock music, with three tracks over 10 minutes long very much disengage with the punk rock but, like punk, lyrically, questions the role of authoritarians. This much pre-loved album has pronounced signs of ringwear. The innser sleeve is in great conditon. The vinyl itself would benfit from a profesional clean but still plays well with a little surface noise.
