Description

An original 1st press of ANIMALS on the UK Harvest label from 1977. Matrix A2/B2 - very 1st cut. The vinyl comes housed in an original  heavy-card cover. We also have the original bespoke inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) In very nice condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAREXCELLENT level of playback with deviation in a couple of spots per side. Lovely quiet intros and inbetweens and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. A great player with occasional sign of background. At worst a few crackles in two isolated spots [e.g. end of Pigs and end of POW - S2]. And a couple of ticks in one isolated spot per side. A really good strike rate for this highly desirable 1st issue title. Not quite clean enough to hit the top gradings - so make sure this is within your required threshold. Unfortunately few specimens play this fussy title perfectly clean. 
Cover (Vg+) Nice clean surfaces - certainly better than many original specimens. Please note slight nick top right on front has been inked in sympathetically. But other than that surfaces are relatively unworn. Interior looks great with no issues. Not that much sign of edge wear. Spine 90% intact and better than many examples. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Nice. Small one inch split at foot. Larger split on one side has been internally tape repaired.
