Description
An original 1st issue of Animals on the UK Harvest label. Matrix A2U/B3U. The heavy set vinyl [very heavy for '77] comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse wide spine cover. Also included is the lyric inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. These Floyd LPs really need well preserved copies to do them justice otherwise interference will just impinge on the listening experience. Interference on this copy is very minor and infrequent. All we could detect were a few crackles in the odd isolated moment. It's a lovely clean player which just lets the music F-F-FLOW. Please note the side 1 label has 'M.Court' printed on it..it's so well done it almost looks like it was part of the original label design!
Cover (Ex) In very smart condition and believe me these Animals covers are not all that easy to find in very well preserved condition. Lovely clean front without creasing and only some light wear to the top edge 3c.m.'s. The rear is in equally good condition - the only vague issue is a bit of wear at the base of the spine and one light indentation. The interior is in very good clean condition - no issues at all. Edge wear is relatively light for this title. The text on the spine is all intact - but do expect one or two spots of wear on the spine. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity thanks to its heavy card construction.
Inner (Ex) No splits or nasty creasing.
