Description

An original 1st issue of Animals on the UK Harvest label. Matrix A3U/B4U. Please note label design is consistent with 1st issue and does not have two concentric rings found on later 2nd issues. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is the original inner sleeve. So, this copy is 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In super shape and has clearly seen very light use. Under close inspection there are some super-light scuffing marks in a couple of patches. Let me assure you that these are about as insignificant as you could possibly find and do not feature audibly at all. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with superb clarity. Interference is minimal. All we detected was a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated spots. Other than that we are talking a very very clean copy which allows the music to flow freely and unhindered. Animals is an absolute classic and this rendition really does the album full justice. A beauty!!
Cover (Ex) Has clearly been looked after down the years. These Animals covers are famously difficult to find in decent condition - but this is certainly one of the better specimens. Lovely bold colours with very little surface wear at all showing. The interior is in excellent condition only some light surface wear in the odd place. Edge wear is very light with just a bit noticeable on the opening edge. The spine is almost entirely intact with text still legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and remains a very fine example.
Inner (Ex) No splits. Great condition.
