Description
An original 1st issue of Animals on the UK Harvest label. Matrix A2U/B3U. Please note label design is consistent with 1st issue and does not have two concentric rings found on later 2nd issues. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is the original inner sleeve. So, this copy is 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In super shape and has clearly seen very light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of very light marks - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is minimal. All we detected was a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated spots. Other than that we are talking a very very clean copy which allows the music to flow freely and unhindered. Animals is an absolute classic and this rendition really does the album full justice. A beauty!!
Cover (Ex-) Has clearly been looked after down the years. These Animals covers are famously difficult to find in decent condition - they nearly always have wear around the sides and the surface. This copy is clearly a cut above the average copy that surfaces. Lovely bold colours with only light handling noticeable in a couple of small sections. The interior is in excellent condition. Edge wear is light and the spine is intact and the text is all still legible Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and remains a very fine example.
Inner (Ex) No splits. Great condition.
