Description

An original 1st press of Animals on the UK Harvest label from 1977. Matrix 2/2 - very 1st cut. Stampers 1-GAA/4-MM. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefol cover with wide-spine. Also included is the original lyric inner sleeve. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In superb condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. The audio on these early copies is just sublime - I love this album. Floyd is often very delicate sounding audio and any back-ground interference is going to quickly intrude on the listening experience. Intros and inbetweens are mostly silent and the audio comes across with superb clarity. This copy is clearly low-mileage and, consequently, interference is very minor indeed. All I could detect are a couple of errant crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side [e.g in track 1]. Take it in - this LP is an absolute classic!!
Cover (Vg+) Animals is a difficult cover to find in pristine condition, but this example still remains in fine form. The front looks good with most of the image well preserved and just some light wear at the extreme top section. The rear looks nice too, but please note there's a tape repair for three inches to the bottom edge. The interior is lovely no issues. Edge wear is light for the most part - just a touch on the bottom and top edge. The spine does have evidence of wear, but none of the text is obscure and overall it looks fine. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. 
Inner (Ex-) Very nice. The bottom edge is showing wear and has been taped up to secure it.
