Description

An original 1st press of Animals on the UK Harvest label from 1977. Matrix 2/2 - very 1st cut. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefol cover with wide-spine. Also included is the original lyric inner sleeve. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex+) In superb condition and has only seen very light use. Just take a look at the label shots - the side 2 spindle hole still has waste wax in it! Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. The audio is a revelation and is most certainly one of the best renditions of this title I've witnessed. Floyd is often very delicate sounding audio and any back-ground interference is going to quickly intrude on the listening experience. This copy is clearly low-mileage and, consequently, interference is pretty much absent. All I can detect are a couple of errant crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side. It's clean as a whistle though and will deliver a top rendition of this FLOYD classic..
Cover (Ex) Animals is a difficult cover to find in pristine condition, but this example is looking pretty darn sweet if you ask me. Front and back are impressively clean without the usual surface wear you tend to find on this title. Expect nothing worse than a couple of minuscule creases and some super-light handling. The interior is very nice too with no issues at all. Edge wear is light for this title and the openings still sharp. The spine is way above average with all text perfectly legible, just a couple minuscule spots of wear. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
