Here’s the one where Pink Floyd got teeth. Animals isn’t a concept album—it’s a condemnation. Roger Waters took Orwell’s Animal Farm and rewired it for the late 1970s, trading psychedelic haze for power chords, and utopian yearning for a sharpened snarl. Released in January 1977, this is Floyd’s most confrontational record, sitting restlessly between Wish You Were Here and the coming storm of The Wall.

The music is long-form and unsparing: “Dogs” runs nearly 18 minutes and never lets up, a howl of betrayal under David Gilmour’s cleanest solos. “Pigs (Three Different Ones)” hits like satire carved in concrete. And “Sheep” gives you the full descent: electric, Orwellian, and prophetically cynical.

This copy carries the original gatefold with the full lyric spread and that famous inner collage: the power station, the barbed wire, the crumpled pig.
