ANIMALS
(UK HARVEST, SHVL 815, 1977)
MEGA RARE UK pressing of Pink Floyd's classic and last great (awaiting abuse for saying that) album!! This is a genuine EARLY UK PRESSING with EARLY MATRIX NUMBERS but what makes this even more special is the fact that BOTH LABELS ARE TEXTURED from the centre of the labels up to about halfway in!!! I have tried to illustrate this in the 5th pic. This proves to be a contract pressing as EMI never manufactured any albums with textured labels! Contract pressings were basically manufactured by other pressing plants if EMI had too many deadlines to meet at the time, this is especially common with Beatles albums. But a Pink Floyd one? Definitely much rarer, this is the first I have ever seen. The matrix stampers are the normal EMI ones with the same typeface. It is hard to say what pressing plant manufactured this particular one as I cannot think of any labels at the time which were using these textured labels, for all we know it could have been a very small pressing plant! This is a great one for the collector!! Very hard to find in this condition!! Don't miss out!
Vinyl is in EX(+) condition : a few very light marks which do not affect play, plays great with some very light surface noise, looks great
Gatefold sleeve with thick spine is in VG++ condition : light wear, looks great overall
Inner sleeve with rounded edges is in EX condition : disc imprint, no splits or tears
