Description
I'm not a record grading expert, and I don't use "the" official grading system (if there is one?). I have a fairly large record collection, so I'm very familiar with records and what to expect based on age, how to care for them, etc. If the pictures or my description is not enough, please contact me, before bidding. I can email you additional pics of specific areas, pieces, flaws, etc. I'll do my best to relay the actual condtion and item specifics and I'm happy to answer any questions you may have.
Black cardboard box is in great shape. Black and white paper label shows some rub marks/shelf wear where it was originally taped on. You can see the outline of the pieces of tape. The lower left corner of the label looks as if someone tried to peel it off, or maybe it got caught when being slid back on the shelf. A couple corners show very slight white fuzzing. Overall it looks pretty nice to me.
Plastic inner sleeves show normal wrinkles. No splits or tears.
Vinyl: First record has one scratch of descent depth about 1 inch long. I'm actually listening to it as I type this, and I can hear it ticking through the song "Echos." It goes away before the song ends. Side two has a lighter scratch of about the same length. Some light spindle rash on the labels. Overall very clean other than that first scratch.
Second record shows a light scratch or two, and four very short scratches that run parallel with the grooves, all the same distance in. It looks like a manufacturing defect, but I can't be sure. I would think if it was from someone bouncing the stylus, they'd be sloppier. You can hear them click by, and then they are gone. Both labels show slight creasing around the hole.
Third record shows very, very light scratches that look like they're from the record being taken in and out of it's sleeve. One label is slightly ragged at the hole.
I'm being very picky about all of this.
My default shipping protocol is If the record sells for $30.00 or less, I'll place it into a corrugated cardboard record mailer and ship it UPS ground for the calculated cost. If it sells for more than $30.00, I'll place the record in a corrugated mailer, then package that in an additional box with packing and ship it UPS for the calculated cost. In this case, wait for an invoice from me before paying. I will ship internationally and overseas, but you must contact me in advance, before bidding, to confirm the cost of shipping.
