Possibly my most frustrating lp acquisition to date!! Please read on.

This is a very rare 1st pressing of Dark Side of the moon, (which was part of a very nice set of 50 or so early 70's lps eg, Genesis/Yes/Led Zepp etc that I picked up this week - all in great condition). However, the one record that was not in great condition was this one!

Side 1 matrix is SHVL 804 A-2    LU     2

Side 1 matrix is SHVL 804 B-2    PL      2

Outer sleeve - generally very good condition. There is rubbing to the edges, some wear on the face of the front and back covers. No splits or tears.

Inner gatefold leaves - very good. Light wear only. I've taken a close up pic of the printing details in the bottom left hand corner. Note '7303' date and "Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd"

Inner sleeve - original black polyliner. Creased but no rips or damage.

Posters/stickers - unfortunately these are missing.

Labels - very good. Spindle marks to both sides

Now to the vinyl condition (Using the Record Collector's guide):

Vinyl both sides - sadly there is damage to the very outside edge of the record on both sides, side 1 being the worst. I've taken pictures of both sides and hopefully you can make out the scratch. On side 1 it affects around 30 seconds of the first track and extends around half the circumference of the disc. On side 2 it is perhaps 20 rather than 30 seconds of interference for track 1 and the scratch extends around 25% of the circumference. The scratches do not cause the needle to jump but the audio quality is poor. I would describe all other areas of the playing surface as near excellent and on my turntable the playback is very fine.

I normally accept returns if you are unhappy with my grading but on the occasion I regretfully cannot. I've tried to take as many photos as possible and carefully describe the condition. Low starting price!!
