Hi, and welcome to my listing.

Over the coming weeks and months there will be many highly sought-after albums/singles being listed, including some titles which are so rare that I haven’t been able to find other copies anywhere else. Many items, drawn from a specialist private collection, can be sure to appeal to the more refined collectors – as it is my intent to offer the more refreshing and distinguished titles as much as possible. In addition, it is probably worth noting that I will be offering many of these items at a very competitive – in most circumstances unrivalled – price points for their grade. Fairness is of great importance to me. In light of all of this, I invite anybody interested in vinyl to ‘see [my] other items’, as I’m confident there will be something of interest for everyone. Grading 

(According to the ‘Rare Record Collectors’ Guide’s Criteria/ My personal audio setup) With regard to all gradings, it is useful to 'give or take' to allow for some room either side. That being said, I really do try to be accurate, or to even lean on the stricter side of grading rather than the lenient, so that you recieve an accurate or better grading. To most this is common sense, but I add this just to avoid any time-consuming dispute. Thank you for understanding! 

Cover: G+  The cover is still very presentable and usable, as the photos indicate. I believe this is what is regarded as the 'midnight blue' cover; holding a slightly different blue tinge than the later issues. There is some storage wear and foxing towards the edges, as consummate with age. In addition, there is some more storage ringwear towards the top of the front cover, along with a slight scrape and a small pea-sized tear besides it (top right). The general aesthetic of the front still holds well and, although its not a top 'vault' copy, it isn't the worst you will find - especially considering how rare it is. The back is holds its colour more consistently than the front, although as expected has some degree of ageing, but not too much as you can see. The spine has a scuff in the centre, and a few others above it. As it stands, it has only peeled the paint layer off, and so shouldn't open up so long as it is kept in a good protective sleeve (which i will include). The inside is clean and free from any tearing. The general shape of the sleeve is good, and still fully functional. Compared to how these pressings usually turn up, this is a relatively decent copy, but, again, please study the photos provided as a picture is worth a thousand words! 

Vinyl (Visually): G+  It is probably worth mentioning at this point that the photos I have provided are of a high quality, and should zoom in nicely and allow you to inspect it a little more thoroughly. I firstly invite you to do so. However, i understand that not everything can be captured digitally, so i will do my best to describe it. The playing surfaces have many wispy hairlines, and other light sleeve-removal related marks. These go a lot a way around the disc, but despite there being quite a few, they are very light and non-feelable. Many, under normal light conditions, cannot be seen. There are a couple of scuffs which, again, although can be seen, are light and cosmetic only. There are no serious marks i.e. deep or protruding marks which cause concern for playback - all are mostly superficial. There are a handful of more visually grabbing marks (photo 6), but these are not as daunting as the may look (as shown by the play test). I would not be suprised to see people list this as a VG. Depending on how pedantic you are with regards to the visual aspects of the disc, i would say that someone who prioritises audio over looks may find it fair to call it something like a VG or VG- etc. However, i am keeping it in the G bracket because i would rather be on the safe side - assume around a G condition, but maybe - if you are a non-fussy collector - expect something you may have graded slightly higher. What can be said is that it is somewhere, visually speaking, in the vicinity of a G or VG. 

Playback (to my ear): VG+  This was played entirely on my turntable, which has a relatively sensitive cartridge (at normal tracking force weight and a good volume). The listening experience was great! The performance was clear and punchy, and held a great dynamic range. Instruments were vibrant, as were the vocals. There were only some light patches of static/background noise, which only became apparent in the quieter passages and between tracks. Certainly to my ear, this was not overwhelming at all - and was at most relatively mild. Some tracks had a touch more static etc. than others, but never did it reach a level that wasnt easy to tolerate. Little to no surface noise. Any such static etc. was almost non-existent when music fully kicked in. I was suprised as to how clear the audio was. There were some pops (as expressed below) on 'Money' which may have been brought about from a light mark, but such disappeared after 30-45 seconds. Again, performance can change depending on the turntable, so please regard this information under the context of my personal setup. Please allow some room either side the grading for your setup.

Here are my notes from the listening experience (I hope this may make some sense).

Track 1: Few pops and a little surface noise until music kicks in. Music kicks in, absolutely fine, no surface noise.

Interlude: Little to no surface noise.

Time: Perfectly clear. Very mild static. Brilliant at loud volume.

Very faint ticks between tracks

Great Gig In The Sky:  Mild static, starts, then absolutely fine.

Money: few pops start with. Some crackle and rotational clicks until music kicks in (about 50 sec). Fantastic afterwards. Pop here and there otherwise crystal clear.

Us and Them: Few rotational clicks entering. A few pops. Again, very tolerable to me. Cannot describe how great the sounds are.

Interlude: Fine. static etc. that is normal to vinyl.

Last track: few pops at the very start. mild static. Great throughout.

Listening experience: VG+

Additional comments: A/2 B/2 Pressing - Solid Blue Triangle - 1st UK press. VERY RARE AND HIGHLY COLLECTABLE.

As a gesture of good faith, I have play tested all of my items over £20 (entirely) so that you can grasp a firm and transparent understanding of the performance - please see above for this. This will, in alignment with convention, go alongside a meticulous visual grading (of which I aim to be as fair and accurate as possible). As shown, detailed photos of the item are provided, allowing you to view it with great clarity: please feel free to inspect it for yourself. For the purposes of certainty, I will complement the photos with a supplementary description. As a bonus (for all my items), I ensure the item is packed in a strong purpose-built mailer, with stiffeners and bubble wrap. I will also clean the vinyl, attempt to remove any present static and place it and the sleeve in a protective cover (as further reinforcement to the packaging). I do not, unlike most other people, charge for such extras – and so postage remains at its lowest cost for the chosen delivery! I am happy to answer any additional questions about the item, if there is something i've missed. 

All items above £15 will be 'signed for', for seller & buyer protection. Again, I will happily absorb this cost!
