PINK FLOYD - 'THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON'

1973 1st UK pressing of this masterpiece on sold-blue triangle EMI/Havest label: SHVL 804

Matrix numbers: SHVL 804 A-2 & SHVL 804 B-2

Stamper codes: 1/GH & 2/PL

Vinyl weight: 143g

Housed in a very dark blue 'Garrod & Lofthouse printed gatefold cover.

Complete with: 'Pyramid' & group posters & 2 x brown & yellow graphics stickers with "Permanent" on the back.

Also with die-cut black poly-lined inner sleeve with patent numbers and "Made in Great Britain" printed in silver along the bottom edge.


CONDITION

Disc

Visually: VERY GOOD +

Clean, deep-gloss playing surfaces with no major signs of wear. The only blemish visible in strong daylight is a 5cm radial scratch just at the beginning of track 1, side 1. Closer inspection beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals nothing more than some armless wispy paper hairlines consistent with inner-sleeve removal and a sparkling rainbow shine.

Audibly: VERY GOOD +

This copy has received a moderate amount of careful play. The aforementioned scratch at the beginning of 'Speak To Me' causes a click for approximately 10 revolutions or may cause a groove jump on some systems, but apart from that and some light vinyl background during some of the quieter passages, there is little else to fault.

Cover: VERY GOOD +

This early & correct example has light shelf/storage wear throughout. There are some small wrinkles to the edges and a tiny 1cm lower seam stress to the rear pocket. The inside of the gatefold is unblemished and the unworded spine is undamaged.

Posters: VERY GOOD

Both are discoloured and have been on a wall at some point. However, there are no pin holes on either.

Cover: EXCELLENT

Both are unpeeled but have small age-related spots on each.

Inner-sleeve: VERY GOOD +

Light to moderate storage wrinkles but no writing, tears or seam splits.
