CONDITION
Labels: EXCELLENT -
A superb set bearing a few light spindle trails around each unworn centre hole. Some slight signs of damp on the side 1 label, as shown on the pictures.
Visual: EXCELLENT -
Great looking deep-gloss playing surfaces which bear only feint paper scuffs. For this age, it is difficult to find a disc in this condition.
There is an etching made to the vinyl "R Heath March 73" which the seller I bought it off told me was to do with Allen & Heath, who Floyd commissioned to build the MOD1 quadrophonic mixing console, but to be honest I think that is tosh, and more likely to be 'vandalism' by the original owner laying claim! I have marked it down accordingly although it in now way effects play. See picture.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT
This copy has been played quite a few times but obviously on good quality audio technology. Although a forty two year old record, this has surprisingly few clicks, pops or any distortion.
Cover: EXCELLENT -
A very, very good copy of this early & correct 1st issue cover.
The front panel shows little sign of any wear.
There is a little shelf wear on the bottom and top spine corners, but nothing too bad (see pictures for detail). There is also slight signs of wear to the bottom of the back, again I hide nothing, please look at the pics supplied.
The inside gatefold has slight signs of wear (as do I, a mere 14 months older than this LP!), a small crease on the bottom left (see pic), but for its age has nothing that would deter any collector.
The pictures taken with the light show how true and unmarked the sleeve is. This has been very, very well looked after.
ALL IN ALL THIS IS A FANTASTIC EXAMPLE OF THE ORIGINAL ISSUE OF ONE OF THE GREATEST ALBUMS OF ALL TIME. THIS IS THE WAY TO HEAR THIS LP.
From a smoke free home. If you have any questions please ask.
HAPPY BIDDING!
