Rare 1973 Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon UK Early Pressing (A3/B3 Matrices)
Up for auction is a highly sought-after, early 1973 UK pressing of Pink Floyd’s masterpiece, featuring the legendary A3 / B3 matrix numbers stamped in the run-out grooves. This specific variation captures the transitional era of late 1973, featuring the "EMI Records Ltd." rim text on the iconic blue-prism Harvest labels.
Condition Details:
Vinyl (EX): In beautiful Excellent condition. The wax retains a brilliant gloss with only a few faint, superficial hairline scuffs visible under bright light. It plays wonderfully with incredible audio separation, punchy bass, and minimal background noise. A true audiophile listening copy!
Gatefold Sleeve (EX): Solid Excellent condition. This is the authentic 1973 Garrod & Lofthouse garment-style sleeve featuring the original left-side sealed entry (record slots in from the inner fold). Edges are crisp, the spine is fully legible, and the classic circular purple hype sticker is attached directly to the front cardboard. Minimal shelf wear.
Labels (EX): Clean, bright center labels with "Made in GT Britain" at the bottom. No writing or tearing.
Inserts: Please note that while the vinyl and jacket are 100% period-correct 1973 originals, the two posters and two pyramid stickers have been replaced with clean, modern reissues to complete the package.
