Description

RARE 1973 Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon UK Early 2nd Pressing (A3/B3 Matrix) - 100% COMPLETE CROSSOVER SET

Up for sale is a highly sought-after, beautifully preserved archive copy of Pink Floyd’s masterpiece. This is a definitive collector's "crossover" set, marrying a 1st-generation Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve with an exceedingly early A3/B3 vinyl pressing.

THE BLUEPRINT:

Matrix / Runout: SHVL 804 A-3 / SHVL 804 B-3

Side 1 Stampers: Mother 3 (upside down) | Stamper: GPD (Ultra-early 16th stamper!)

Side 2 Stampers: Mother 2 | Stamper: MO (45th stamper)

Labels: Midnight-blue Harvest outline prism with rare transitional "The Gramophone Co. Ltd." rim text.

THE COMPLETE PACKAGING & INSERTS:

The Cover (VG+): Genuine 1st Issue sleeve featuring the iconic midnight-blue hue and glued/sealed left opener. Complete with the original dark front hype sticker. Structural integrity is excellent; shows minor edge wear/light scuffing consistent with a VG+ grade, but looks fantastic.

The Vinyl (VG+ to EX): Beautiful factory gloss. Shows only faint paper scuffs under bright light. Plays with exceptional clarity, punch, and minimal surface noise. A true audiophile playback copy.

The Posters & Stickers (EX): Both original matte posters (Pyramid & Group shot) are crisp with no pinholes or tape. Both original graphics stickers feature the highly coveted "CRACK BACK" and "FasPrint" text backing.

Inner Sleeve: Includes the rare, documented factory-substitution white die-cut poly-lined inner sleeve with patent numbers, used during the 1973 black-sleeve shortage.

An incredible, investment-grade copy that ticks every box for the serious Pink Floyd archivist.
