Description
Here for auction: Pink Floyd "Dark Side Of The Moon". Original 1973 UK issue with "Solid Blue Triangle" first label's SHVL 804.Comes complete with all poster's and sticker's and black inner sleeve.Blue/black Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold cover,black polylined inner,the two sticker's and the pyramid poster are all original first pressing components.The band poster is a later more glossy and thinner paper type.I may get an original poster before the listing ends and add it to the listing so watch out.
Matrix Side 1 A2 stamps G GD7 Side 2 Matrix B2 stamps Hard to make out what they were.
As far as I know all the parts of this album are original unless stated otherwise in the description.And all the photos show the item listed here and not some other "stock" photo etc.Just wanted to make that clear.
I have checked parts of both sides of the disc for sound quality on a Thorens TD160 super with SME Mk III arm and B&O MMC II cartridge, Roksan Kandy RA Mark III amp and B & W DM 603 floorstander's. I hope this gives a fair representation of the disc's quality in the description below.
Vinyl is in great EX+ condition.A really fine disc.Record is very clean and when viewed in strong light I could see maybe one or two of the most minor marks, which have no effect on sound, or the way the record play's.Very minor indeed and hardly visible except looking closely.There are no other surface marks that I can see and vinyl has top quality sheen.There are no kinks or warps and the disc lies flat on the turntable.
Sound is beautifully clear and undistorted.Absolutely what you would expect form this great original pressing.I found no repetetive tics in the parts played (most of the whole record in fact).Disc play's with pretty much silent surfaces (I noticed a little crackle just at Heartbeating start of side 1 and some minor crackle in quiet part of Great Gig In the Sky.
Cover is in EX+ condition.Looks very nice indeed.Only very minor general wear.Nice corner's and spine.No label's or handwriting.Beautiful.
Label's EX+ Could see only a few light spindle marks and there are no other marks or blemishes at all.Fine condition.
Original unused sticker's are EX+.
Original inner sleeve is EX.
Original pyramid poster is EX+ and has not been damaged in any way.
Later issue band poster is EX+ and has not been damaged in any way.
