Description

I am currently in the middle of listing a quite lovely collection of Pink Floyd albums. These will not include recent re-releases, dodgy quality recordings, or anything even remotely like. These will all be of excellent quality, some even better than that. They will include some UK 1st pressings, and if not they will be extremely early pressings. All matrix/mother/stamper combinations will be listed (so long as they are readable!) so you can tell exactly what you are bidding on. All gradings are visual only, strictly to record collector guidelines.
So here we have Floyds most iconic title. "The Dark Side of The Moon". UK 1st pressing with "solid blue prism labels" and A2 / B2 matrices. This is the one exception to my statement above, as this album is not in excellent condition and plays with some issues which I have noted in full in the description below. As it is highly desirable and collectable I still feel it worth having, even though it is by no means a minty copy, which would command much more money.

  • Blue tinted cover is in a pretty solid condition. It does have some creasing and some storage wear, but not a wrecked example by any means. Graded as very good.
  • Vinyl is in quite decent condition, but is looking its age. Has some non-feelable marks here and there, some light scratches and general scuffs. These issues cause 9 clicks right at the start of the track "Money" and some general background noise on both sides. Not a perfect listen for sure, but not the worst copy out there.  Graded as good plus to very good minus.
  • The black poly lined inner sleeve is original and in superb condition. No rips or slits. Patent numbers and Made in UK are in silver print. Lovely example. Graded as excellent.
  • Both posters (in a heavier slightly matt paper than later issues) are in really good shape without damage to the coloured front, but there is some discolouration to the rear from age, but no pin holes, etc etc. Graded as very good plus to excellent minus.
  • Both sticker/postcards are present and in a lovely condition, with just a crease to the very bottom edge of the lighter coloured one. These are the very first issue, with "permanent" on the rear, later changed to the semi-permanent ones with brown diagonal stripes to the rear. Graded as excellent.
So all in all a highly collectable UK first pressing with solid blue triangle labels and the A2 / B2 matrix numbers. Genuine first issue heavier paper posters and both stickers with permanent printed on the reverse, again, the very earliest. Not a perfect copy by any means, but well worth owning until you can afford the £600 plus for an excellent or better copy, in my view.
All albums will be housed in a brand new heavy duty polythene cover. All vinyl's will be housed in a new anti-static inner sleeve. I pack my albums for transit in the most secure packaging imaginable and send 1st class signed for postage with The Royal Mail. I only charge exactly what it costs me!
I accept returns if I am notified immediately upon you receiving the album. This has to be due to it being wrongly described. Not just for a change of mind. I take the time to provide quality photographs of the album, along with a detailed description, so please respect this.
I will post overseas if you contact me first, due to issues in the past and ebays new postage rules it is in both our interests to do so. Failing to contact me first may mean I cancel your bid.
