There are a couple of obvious hairlines and also some lighter wear that can only be seen in strong light.
This would be EX if it wasn't for a 2cm superficial scratch on side 2 that does not leave *any* aural artefacts.
Sound: EX
The sound quality is exceptional on this. It has tremendous depth and brilliance.
I truly believe this A2/B2 cut sounds quite a bit better than the later Harry T. Moss UK cuts that you bump into most the time.
In fact, I'm gonna be so bold to state that this IS the best sounding vinyl version available, leaving the MFSL, 35th anniversary, and 2011 reissue far behind.
All you have to do is listen to 'Money'. While later UK copies are pretty good, they have this shrill, almost metallic quality to the high-end that is completely missing here.
The tonal balance is just right on this cutting; certainly no unnecessary high- and low-end boosts as on all the above mentioned (so-called) audiophile vinyl re-releases.
It is also one of those rare instances where the vinyl quality is much better than the usual 70's UK EMI pressing (which often tend to suffer from ticks and crackling).
This is not a mint copy, so the soft passages are not 100% silent but overall the level of surface noise is surprisingly low for an UK EMI press of this era.
Furthermore, this appears to have been played only on a lightweight turntable, as the sound remains clear and undistorted till the end of each side,
meaning that Clare Torry's beautiful voice can be appreciated here in its purest form.

Recorded from a Technics 1210 turntable /Jelco SA750D tonearm /At33PTG cart/Pro-Jekt Tubevox 2 pre-amp.
No post processing of any kind, the audio is what you get. Converted to mp3 with lame converter to at 165kbps.

Nice but quite a lot light spindlelines around the hole.
Sleeve: VG-
Wear on the spines and front and back. A name is written on the front as well.
Inside nicely intact. Original black innersleeve included. No posters or cards.
Pictures represent the actual item and all its inserts.
Grading standard:
Mint: As new, nothing less.
Excellent: Very decent condition, no need to upgrade unless you’re a perfectionist.
Very Good: Not for everybody...
Good: F-ing awful.
I only use one + or – behind the grade.
I grade conservatively and strictly. I inspect the vinyl under halogen light. I'm a critical collector of rare vintage records myself and do not want to talk you into buying something you don't really want.
