Description

HARVEST RECORDS ST -11078  "OBSCURED BY CLOUDS"  Rare WINCHESTER 1ST PRESSING~"G15  / G10 #2" FOR THIS GREAT PROG ART ROCK ALBUM (1972) Vinyl shows a definite visible warp.  (Plays great despite warp) (see sound testing and vinyl condition details below) No Bar Code... VeryThick inflexible original vinyl...Barely any surface noise.
Rare Winchester First press matrix in the dead wax trail-off area: "ST-1-11078-G15 / ST-2-11078-G10 #2 (both written) [?< MBC]"

Key 1st press other indicators found on this pressing:

Text around bottom edge of label starts at 8 o'clock and says:

“Mfd. by Capitol Records, Inc., a subsidiary of Capitol Industries, Inc., U.S.A. - ® Capitol Marca Reg. - U.S. Pat. No. 2,631,859”

VG+ to NM- Vinyl.  Very Thick inflexible glossy vinyl. Rating for such a visible warp that plays fine is difficult...the vinyl playing surface on one hand is NM- (barely any scuffs or hairlines); on the other hand the vinyl warp is visible and could subject the vinyl to a VG+ or perhaps a VG-ish rating. (but once again the record sounds great!
STRONG VG+ COVER...No splits...Light ringwear which almost blends in with the cover art design on both sides..a 2" neatly taped bottom rt corner split (see last pic), some bottom edgewear and spine wear also present (see pics)
*PLAY TESTED: The warp did not affect play. Played with 1st Press strong and crisp sound fidelity and with barely any surface noise.  Most regard this Winchester Pressing as the most powerful of the 1st pressings for this great Floyd Lp.  Sound tested at 1.0g and 1.5g stylus pressure.
Next day shipping.  vinyl and cover separated and placed in a 4 mil poly bag and then into a sturdy professional Lp mailer with an additional cardboard filler pad to protect this original Stones gem.
