Description

Please Note :-
International buyers please check exact postal costs with me before placing a bid.

I post all my disks in heavy duty mailers with a stiffener and I send them by first class signed-for service in order to protect myself and my buyers.

However, because postal charges these days are so high I’m willing to send them by a cheaper service if the buyer is willing to accept any additional risks that might be involved.

If you want to use a cheaper postal option, please contact me before you make a bid.

I've been a Pink Floyd fan since they started and this is one of several versions of Dark Side of the Moon that I have in my record collection.

I've owned this since it was released in 1979. The sleeve generally is in pretty good condition but unfortunately it has a couple of splits which are clearly shown in the photos.

Although it's 35 years old and has been frequently played, the disk is still in excellent condition with no stylus wear although it has acquired a couple of minor clicks. There are absolutely no scratches or jumps.

Data in the run-out area is as follows:-

Side 1.
"MFSL-1-017-A2-1" plus what looks like "SR/2" plus "H212"

Side 2.
"MFSL-1-017-B2" plus what looks like "SR/2" plus "272"

On 31-May-14 at 19:27:28 BST, seller added the following information:

Update about the clicks I mentioned.

I discovered that I had a little isopropyl alcohol so I dampened an ioniser pad with it and gave the disk a wipe. Two of the clicks vanished but a different one appeared. I think they must be caused by dust particles in the grooves (apart from the tests for this auction, I haven't played this disk since I bought the CD version). I no longer have the full array of cleaning solutions, pads, brushes etc that I used to have so I can't do much more, but I think the disk is in slightly better condition than I originally thought.

I've also found some thin card that could be cut into strips and glued inside the sleeve to reinforce the split edges. I don't know if the eventual winner would actually want this (some might consider that it's defiling an original rare album sleeve) so I won't physically attach it.

Cheers
