Offered for sale is a still sealed pink vinyl promotional single of “Money” and “Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2” by Pink Floyd.
This single features the newly-recorded version of “Money” that appeared on the “A Collection of Great Dance Songs” LP and was issued only as a promotional item.
About this copy: This copy of “Money” is an original, still sealed pink vinyl 12″ single, issued in 1981 on the Columbia label. This single was issued in a plain die-cut cover.
As the disc is still sealed, the record is new and unplayed.
The single is packaged in a thick plastic sleeve that was sealed with a hype sticker.
The wrap is fully intact.
A superb copy of a scarce Pink Floyd item.
Background: In 1981, Columbia Records released a Pink Floyd compilation LP called A Collection of Great Dance Songs. While this album contained tracks from the band’s time with Columbia, and not material from their Capitol/Harvest years, the album does include a new recording of “Money,” originally from the Dark Side of the Moon album.
To promote the Dance Songs LP, Columbia released a 12″ single containing the newly recorded version “Money” along with “Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2.” This single was pressed on pink vinyl and was issued only as a promotional item.
