Description

An original 1st press of MORE on the UK Columbia label. Matrix 1G/1G. Stampers 1G/1G - the 1st ever stamper for this title. Also please note, importantly, the labels are the first one EMI Box version with the 'Sold In The UK..' blurb at the foot - this is indicative of very very 1st press in summer 1969. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofhouse cover with pinched spine. Please note genuine 1st issue must be tinted green, have the figures facing west, and exhibit flipbacks - as this copy does. Also included is the late 60's original EMI sepia toned advertising inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In great condition and has seen only relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a few of those very fine marks - nothing heavy though at all. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. By and large playback is of a high standard with minimal interference. The only vague issues we encountered were a touch of light static in a couple of tracks and a few light ticks in the opening seconds of CRYING. Other than that this is one superb rendition straight from the very first stamper.
Cover (Vg+) In great shape and has a lovely clean front with minimal creasing. Original 60's price sticker still remains in the top right corner. The rear is often let down by ageing, but this copy has almost totally avoided it. There's a record shop sticker in the top-right corner and a name 'Ann' in the centre-top. Apart from one or two marks it really is in very well preserved condition. Edge wear is relatively light except for a one inch section at the top edge where it has worn through. The spine is 100% intact. All flipbacks are intact and the overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) No splits or markings.
