Description
I am in the process of selling a large (130+) collection of Pink Floyd albums. Some brand new, some first or early UK pressings. Add me as a favourite seller to get new listing messages.

This example comes with some rare extras and has been fully play-graded both sides. All of my gradings are strictly to record collector guidelines. However, if you do not agree with my gradings once receiving any albums, just contact me and I offer a free return and refund policy, I do not however deal with part refunds. I try to grade accurately and unfortunately some people try and squeeze a part refund without just cause. Please read my feedback carefully to understand the standards I always adhere to. Thankyou.
- Cover is in great shape. These covers were actually quite a flimsy construction, but this example has lasted pretty well. There is minor shelf-wear to the bottom edge and slight fraying on the spine, but still readable. Very clean and solid. Inside the cover (as shown in one of the photos) the record store that initially sold it put the cat number inside the lead edge. The cover grades as near excellent.
- Inner sleeve is the original with adverts for other bands and albums of the period. Has light discolouration and a bit of wrinkling. No rips or tears and poly lining is fully intact. Inner sleeve grades as VG+.
- Vinyl is really clean with no marks worthy of note. Retains a deep black sheen. Labels show just a small handful of spindle trails per side. Matrices are A1 and B1, so the genuine (not amended) first UK press. Mother / stamper combinations are 2 AP and 2 RT.
- As a visual grading, this ranks as excellent.
- The play-grading reveals this to be a really good copy. From my grading notebook, I made the following observations (vinyl uncleaned). Side one has some minor surface noise right at the start, which quickly fades out. There is a hint of background noise in between tracks, which diminish as the side progresses. No skips or sticks etc. No recurring pops or clicks. Side two starts again with a little background surface noise, slightly more noticeable than side one. Some light background in between tracks 1 and 2. There are 2 "dust pops" at the start of track 3 and another dust pop on track 4. That is pretty much it, and I am sure a good clean might eradicate some of these small issues. Audio grading is a very strong VG+.
- Included in the sale is an original hand bill advertising the film "The Valley", which Obscured by clouds is the musical score to the film. This is in superb undamaged condition and quite a rare item in itself.
- I have also included a brand new coaster depicting the album cover artwork, and a postcard which also depicts the same. This too is mint.
So, all in all, a really nice example of this classic album. Being an original UK first press, it is becoming harder to find now. Many people claim the A2/B2 as a first press, because the A1/B1 was withdrawn due to a slightly bright sound. The true VERY 1st pressing is of course A1/B1.
My records are posted out very quickly and extremely well packaged. Vinyl travels outside of the sleeve, packed in a new anti-static inner and new polythene outer sleeve.
I post worldwide, (in Europe and beyond using UPS who are superb) but do not post to Russia, Belarus or Ukraine. My postage within Europe is around £16 for up to 4 albums (or 2 double albums). I can only insert the Euro postage costs on here, so for outside of the Euro-zone, please wait for my invoice before trying to pay. The rest of the world is around £26 for an album, rising only very slightly for more than 2 albums. All of my packages are sent tracked.
