Pink Floyd Piper 1st LP both MONO and STEREO versions

Pink Floyd classic first album "The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn" from 1967. Offered here in one unique deal are BOTH MONO and STEREO first generation vinyl pressings. The catalog numbers are MONO SX 6157 and STEREO SCX 6157. Each record comes in the original sleeve and also the original Columbia UK inner sleeve. Both records have the desirable original UK blue-black Columbia label with silver lettering and the blue Columbia logo and name. Let's begin by stating all the matrix numbers. Stereo side A YAX 3419-1. Stereo side B YAX 3420-1. Mono side A XAX 3419-2. Mono side B XAX 3420-1. The mono disc is in good condition with no skips or sticks and no repeating scratches. However it has been played quite a lot and there is some crackle in some places, especially during the louder passages. So while the disc is perfectly enjoyable, please do not consider bidding if you expect perfection or mint condition. The level of crackle does depend to some extent on the needle used to play this disc. It was auditioned using a Technics-SME-Stanton combination. The stereo disc is in similar conditon, with no skips or sticks but some repeating scracthes, and an obvious level of normal wear especially during the start of the first tune. Neither disc has been cleaned in any way, and I strongly suspect that they will respond well to professional cleaning. The sleeve of the mono record is in good condition with no writing anywhere except inside near the opening (SH121). There is a small piece of clear sticky tape on the lower left rear corner, as well as some slight seam splitting. The stereo sleeve has no writing anywhere and some normal wear at the corners. There is a small brown stain on the left rear and removal has not yet been attempted. Both sleeves are printed by Ernest.J.Day and are triple flip-back. Both inner sleeves are in good condition with normal wear and a tear and a pen mark on one of them. It is my strongest impression that these two records are exact contemporary releases, although the sleeve front of the mono disc has slightly stronger colouring. This pair of records is offered in good faith to all Pink Floyd collectors keen to add FIRST GENERATION mono AND stereo pressings of the classic first album to their collection all in one go. As I said above they are well used and loved, and certainly not mint, however very enjoyable. Finally, please note that the actual MIXES on these two discs is very DIFFERENT.
