Description
This is the original issue of The Pink Floyds [as stated on label and sleeve] debut album. Catelogue Number SCX 6157. This is the Stereo Version and comes on the blue / black Columbia label. The sleeve is the flipback version WITHOUT the 'File Under Pop'. Text.
I rate my albums as according to the Record Collector Guide, and if anything I under-rate them so as not to give any false impression of quality. My guide is a true honest rating as I see them.
Because Rating is subjective, I cannot offer any returns on this type of item sold.
Ratings:
Vinyl:
Side 1. rated FAIR. It has got a lot of surface marks on, as the picture possibly shows, but it does play well. There is surface noise and crackling due to scratches when it is played but it did not jump when played on my turntable.
Side 2. rated FAIR. again lots of surface marks including several large ones, but these are not deep scratches, and again it played without jumping or stalling. Crackling and surface noise is audible. see picture.
Inner Sleeve: This is the original EMI advertising inner sleeve that came with record. This is not exclusive to the album and so can be changed. I have put the Vinyl in a new one but included the original one but it is in POOR condition, with stains and tape down one side where it has actually split.
Album Cover: FAIR / GOOD. There is some split in the laminate at the top edge and a slight rip to the left hand edge of the spine in the middle. Some scuffing to edges but not too bad for 43 years old. The laminate has creasing.
Album Rear: GOOD. All flipbacks sealed although grubby on edges. The rear has discoloured as it is not laminated. No rips or tears though
There is no defacing by Pen etc on the front, rear or vinyl label.
The album will come with a heavy duty PVC sleeve which it has been stored in.
It will be packed securely to ensure no damage during shipping and will be dispatched within 48 hours of payment being cleared.
